After six rounds of the eFootball™ Championship Pro 2023 Regular League in which FC Barcelona has been leading the league’s table in the last 5 matchdays, now is Arsenal FC the team seating in the first position after picking up six points against the blaugranas in Matchday 6. The Catalans are now in second place, feeling the breath of a third-placed FC Bayern that took 7 points from a nearly eliminated AC Milan in seventh place, 4 points away from the KO Stage qualification places set by AS Monaco in sixth place with 20 points. Above the monegasques, AS Roma has almost secured the quarterfinals after taking 7 points in the Italian derbi against FC Inter, which became the first team eliminated with no mathematical options of KO Stage qualification.
In a match that brought together former teammates and French compatriots, Manchester United and AS Monaco shared the points, four each. For the English side, only Nekza managed a 2-1 win against Kams10_, who was playing against his former club for the last three years. Lotfi, meanwhile, drew again at 2-2, this time with young Zilo, while in the first game of the day, Monegasque captain Usmakabyle thrashed Kilzyou 4-0 to the surprise of all watching. Four points dropped the Red Devils out of third place, but they were able to secure their place in the KO Stage, while AS Monaco remain in sixth place, four points behind AC Milan, who are currently in the elimination zone.
A fateful day for the Nerazzurri in the last Italian derby of the season, as they became the first team to be eliminated and out of the KO Stage after picking up just one point for the fourth consecutive time this season. The Romans inflicted a heavy punishment on them by defeating them in the first two matches: ASR_STIFFLER beat ArdaGolaaazooo by the narrowest of margins, while Roman captain ASR_URMA43 crushed Inter's captain MeroMen 2-5. In the third game, already out of options for FC Inter, EL_Matador rescued a draw against ASR_Gagliardo in a match that ended goalless. Seven points that move AS Roma into fifth place and a step further away from the elimination cut-off set by AS Monaco, in sixth place just three points behind, and AC Milan, in seventh place with 16 points. Meanwhile, FC Inter, with seven points so far, a 13-point gap to sixth place and 49 goals conceded and a goal difference of -28 goals, say goodbye to the competition after a season to forget.
The other Italian team to suffer a major setback on matchday 6 was AC Milan, who are still stuck in the relegation zone after starting the league as undisputed leaders. The Rossoneri were comprehensively beaten in their clashes against FC Bayern München. Only Milan's new recruit, the recently proclaimed MVP and Coppa eFootball Italia champion FRANKINO, was able to rescue a point from a 1-1 draw against FCB_Mestre. The Bavarians, however, defeated the Italians twice: FCB_Jose beat ACM Sasinho 2-0, while Turkey's Mucahit21 won convincingly 1-3 against Rossoneri captain ACM Naples17x. Two heavy defeats for the Milanese, leaving them in a very difficult situation going into the final League's round of matches, in seventh place and four points away from salvation and a spot in the KO Stage set by AS Monaco with 20 points. At the other end of the table, FC Bayern are back in third place and just three points away from the Top 2, which would take them directly into the semifinals, currently in the hands of FC Barcelona.
The final match of the day provided the most eagerly awaited encounter of the day, and probably of the competition so far. The then leaders FC Barcelona faced their pursuers throughout the league so far, Arsenal FC, only to end up swapping places after the results that followed. After a first game that went in favour of the unbeaten Ettorito97, who won his sixth consecutive game against the Gunner captain INDOMINATOR by 2-0, the Londoners picked up two important victories, Ostrybuch's narrow win over Alex Alguacil, who conceded his first defeat, and Roksa22's dramatic 3-4 win over The Palma to take the Gunners to the top of the table with one matchday to go in the Regular League.
