Top five clubs in the league remain unchanged with only a four point difference

FC Schalke 04 proved their PES skills as they were the only club to earn all six points in Matchday 6, and Arsenal FC narrowly continues to hold their first place position


The sixth matchday of eFootball.Pro IQONIQ took place on Saturday, March 27th, with close competition showcasing skilled offensive and defensive gameplay. Five more players reached double digits in goals scored, and Mucahit21, RoksaCvz22, and ETTORITO97 broke past 10,000 defense points. Arsenal FC managed to maintain their first place position on the league table, with AS Monaco and FC Schalke 04 trailing by only one point. The Knockout Stage qualifying spots include the same teams as they did prior to the match, with the exception of AS Roma taking over 6th place and Manchester United FC moving to 7th.


The Featured Match of the day showcased the fixture between AS Roma and Manchester United FC, which 90% of eFootball.Pro IQONIQ fans predicted would end in a victory for Manchester. Kams10_ of Manchester United FC brought the English club into an early lead with his shot in minute 10’, which was then equalized by S-Venom in minute 54’ in his first match in the competition since Matchday 3. This brought this score to 1-1 where it remained for the rest of the game. The second game began with another early lead, this time for AS Roma thanks to KEPA’s early goal in minute 4’. Kams10_ managed an equalizer in minute 16’, however KEPA achieved the win for the Italian club as the sole goal scorer of the game for his team, earning Roma the 2-1 result that ultimately brought them four points to the league table. 





Next up was the matchup between AS Monaco and Arsenal FC, who entered the matchday separated by only one point with the Gunners placing first. The first goal of the game was achieved by Lotfi in minute 37’, only to be countered by Arsenal’s barboza in minute 67’. The teams continued with a tied result until minute 88’ when youngster Kilzyou managed to bring the score in AS Monaco’s favor at 2-1, earning them the first three points. Gunner’s captain INDOMINATOR opened Game 2 on a strong note for his club, achieving back-to-back goals in minutes 36’ and 56’. While Kilzyou put AS Monaco on the board in minute 59’ with his 15th successful shot of the season, barboza solidified the three point win for Arsenal FC in minute 86’ bringing the final score to 1-3.





Galatasaray SK and FC Bayern München faced off in the third match, with both clubs hoping to escape the bottom third of the league table and place in qualifying position. German club captain JOSE carried his club through the entire game, scoring the only two shots in minutes 23’ and 70’, earning FC Bayern München the 0-2 victory and three points to bring to the league table. Alex Alguacil joined the action in Game 2, bringing the German club ahead on the scoreboard again by minute 30’. Their hopes of achieving all six points by the conclusion of the competition were taken away, however, by Galatasaray SK’s Mucahit21 as he created a tie of 1-1 which the Turkish club was able to maintain until the last minute. This ultimately sent FC Bayern München to the league table with four points, and Galatasaray SK with 1.





The fourth fixture was between Juventus and Celtic FC, which included both the MVP and best goal award winners of the previous matchday, IL DISTRUTTORE44 and Jorcha. The eventful first game was kicked off by IL DISTUTTORE44 in minute 18’. The Celtic FC rookies quickly took the reigns, however, as umbee96_ scored in minutes 21’ and 25’, and Gagliardo28’ in minute 47’. Their captain, Jorcha, followed suit with a successful shot in minute 62’, and the score was then elevated to 1-5 by Gagliardo28 in the 66th minute. The players then experienced technical difficulties leading to a rematch of the second half of Game 1, which included one more goal by IL DISTRUTTORE44 in minute 96’ that created the final 2-5 score that granted three points to Celtic FC. Both team captains scored a goal each for their clubs in Game 2 before minute 55’, when technical difficulties once again caused a replay of the second half. This included two more Juventus goals, and a last shot by Jorcha that resulted in a 3-2 victory for the Italian club, allowing them both to walk away with three points. 





FC Barcelona and FC Schalke 04 closed out Matchday 6 with the Blaugrana club eyeing their previous position at the head of the league table. Game 1 of the fixture was a rematch, due to latency issues the clubs experienced during the livestream, and it ended with a sole goal of Schalke 04's captain MeroMen in minute 21'. eFootball.Pro IQONIQ rookie Urma made his mark in the competition with the first two goals of Game 2, the first early on in minute 9’, and the second marking a flurry of late game shots in minute 73’. Schalke’s lead was cut in half quickly by ALEX GRD only two minutes later, however EL_Matador and MeroMen joined their teammate and defended their lead, creating the impressive 1-4 result that granted all six points to Schalke on the league table.





The MVP of Matchday 5 and the best goal award of the March 13th competition were presented at the beginning of the day. Celtic FC captain Jorcha won the prize for the best goal, and IL DISTRUTTORE44 of Juventus was named the most valuable player. The awards of Matchday 6 will be announced on Saturday, April 10th. In order to decide the MVP, KONAMI chooses one player out of the five based on CO-OP points determined by the video game. Both MVP and Best Goal are individual prizes that award 10,000€ each to the winner.


The following fixtures for the seventh matchday have officially been announced: FC Barcelona vs. FC Bayern München, Manchester United FC vs. FC Schalke 04, AS Roma vs. Celtic FC, Galatasaray SK vs. Arsenal FC, Juventus vs. AS Monaco. Matchday 7 is scheduled to broadcast on Saturday, April 10th at 1:00pm CEST (12:00pm GMT).
