Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. has today revealed the 10 professional football clubs that will participate in the eFootball League 2019/20 season, which comprises the eFootball.Pro and eFootball.Open tournaments, plus the newly announced eFootball Season Program.

Full information about eFootball League can be found at the following link.

eFootball.Pro

An international esports competition for professional clubs only, eFootball.Pro will consist of the following 10 world-renowned clubs:

- FC Barcelona

- Manchester United FC

- FC Bayern

- Juventus

- Arsenal FC

- Celtic FC

- AS Monaco

- FC Schalke 04

- Boavista FC

- FC Nantes

All 10 clubs will put forward an official esports team to compete in 3v3 CO-OP matches played on KONAMI’s eFootball PES 2020, with the first match day confirmed for Saturday, December 14th in Barcelona, Spain.

The 10 teams will play against each other throughout nine match days of the initial Regular League phase, which will take place between December and April. Each match will be made of two games, and each game will award three points for a victory and one to each team in case of a draw. The top six clubs of the Regular League will progress to the Knockout Stage in May to decide the season champion.

Jonas Lygaard, Senior Director Brand & Business Development at Konami Digital Entertainment B.V commented, “This is an incredibly exciting moment for the future of esports and eFootball more specifically. To secure the participation of 10 of the world’s most well-known football clubs is a testament to the quality of eFootball PES 2020 and its ability to connect clubs to their fans in new and dynamic ways. With authentic squads and professional players, eFootball.Pro will be one to watch.”

Full information about the new season of eFootball.Pro can be found on the official website.

eFootball.Open

In addition to the eFootball.Pro tournament, the same 10 football clubs will also be featured in the eFootball.Open tournament, open to all players of all abilities. Utilising the new Matchday mode in eFootball PES 2020 and eFootball PES 2020 LITE, players will select one of the 10 clubs during the registration period that they will then compete with, for the duration of the tournament.

KONAMI is excited to announce that registrations for eFootball.Open are now open on the official website, which also includes additional information.

To create football’s most accessible esports competition, eFootball.Open will divide players into “Basic”, “Intermediate” and “Expert” levels, with matches taking place every two weeks. Players will be divided in categories depending on their rating in the Online Divisions.

Only players at the highest “Expert” level will have the opportunity to progress to Regional and then World Finals. These are the players who have the chance to earn prize money and the attention of the world’s top football clubs as they scout for their future eFootball stars.

eFootball Season Program

To encourage and reward players for participating in eFootball, users on PC, console and mobile have a chance to win in-game items for the club that they choose in eFootball.Open when playing Matchday.

With the eFootball Season Program, myClub Coins, Gold and Black Ball Agents and more will be available to win depending on points earned during Matchday. Club-specific items, for your chosen eFootball.Open club, will also be available via a lottery. More information will be available on the official website.

eFootball PES 2020 is available now on PlayStation®4, Xbox One™, and PC STEAM via participating physical and digital stores.
