FC Bayern München dominate again to keep up the pressure on AS Monaco

AS Monaco lose their first game this season but they still lead a table that is very even on the bottom positions

The eFootball.Pro league table is full of excitement after Matchday 5, with AS Monaco and FC Bayern München separated by one point on top, and six teams within five points on the middle and bottom ones. Most of the matches saw many goals, and after all the action, ASM Kilzyou is still unstoppable leading the goals ranking.

The first match of the day (AS Monaco vs FC Barcelona) promised a lot of remarkable moments between two eFootball PES world champions and two historic clubs in eFootball.Pro. After a first win of AS Monaco (3-0), the second left plenty of goals (2-4) and a victory for FC Barcelona. This was the first defeat in a game for the Monegasque team in the season so far and avoids them from escaping from their chasers.

The clash between Celtic FC and Boavista FC also had many goals and emotions. The hoops needed points after a weak season start, and the Portuguese team wanted to keep climbing into the league table. Celtic dominated the first game (3-0), but then Boavista showed the level of previous matchdays and won the second (2-3). At the end of Matchday 5, Barboza took the lead in the defence points ranking surpassing Aazbabysk from FC Nantes, who was continuously on top during the first four competition days.

The match between Juventus and FC Bayern München was probably the most anticipated of the day. The first ever eFootball PES CO-OP champions Alex Alguacil, ETTORITO97 and Ildistruttore are now in different teams and they gave a lesson of healthy rivalry. But it was also anticipated because after Matchday 4, the two teams were tied and the main chasers of AS Monaco on top of the table. The first game ended with a 0-2 victory for the German team, and the second one, in a draw (1-1). With this result FC Bayern is only one point away from the leadership.

The draw between Juventus and Bayern was followed by two more in the match that put face to face FC Nantes and Manchester United FC. The first game was one of the most exciting of the day despite the tie. The English team started dominating but at the end the French team came back to put the final 3-3 in the scoreboard. The second one ended 1-1 after another goal in the last minutes, this time by Manchester United’s E_c_oneill.

The last match of the day, between FC Schalke 04 and Arsenal FC, was the one with the least goals. Both teams were tied on the bottom of the table before the match, and were in the need of points to opt to the Knockout Stage. The first game ended in a 0-0 draw and sharing one point each, and the second one was for Arsenal FC (0-1) after an early and sole goal of S-Venom.

The MVP of Matchday 4 and the best goal of the 8th of February games were awarded at the beginning of the day. Alex Grd from Arsenal FC won the prize for the best goal, and FC Barcelona’s HenrykinhO was the best player. The awards of Matchday 5 will be given on March, 7th. In order to decide the MVP, KONAMI chooses one player out of the five with the most CO-OP points determined by the video game. Both MVP and Best Goal are individual prizes that award 10,000€ each to the winner.

The following fixtures for Matchday 6 have been officially announced: FC Nantes vs Juventus, Manchester United FC vs FC Schalke 04, Arsenal FC vs Boavista FC, FC Barcelona vs Celtic FC, and AS Monaco vs FC Bayern München. Matchday 5 is set for Saturday, March 7 at 1.00pm CET (12.00pm GMT).
