KONAMI’s announcement that FC Bayern München will be joining the eFootball.Pro 2020-21 clubs list makes them the eighth club confirmed in the league this year, alongside FC Barcelona, Juventus, Arsenal FC, Celtic FC, FC Schalke 04, AS Monaco, and AS Roma. This will be the German club’s second year in a row fighting for the eFootball.Pro championship title.
FC Bayern München is returning to the competition after an impressive performance in the 2019-20 season of eFootball.Pro. Before the season was paused indefinitely, the Munich based German club was ranked second of the ten teams for three consecutive matchdays, and were approaching their chance to break into the first place position as the season was halted.
They were tied for the most wins throughout the season, and were only one point shy of the top rank by the abrupt conclusion of the competition. In addition to the skills they displayed throughout the Regular Season, FC Bayern München earned the title of eFootball.Pro Cup Champions, with each of their players receiving at least one award throughout the tournament, including the team captain receiving both the MVP and best goal recognition to start off the Cup.
Although their roster has yet to be announced, FC Bayern München managed to build a strong reputation in their inaugural year of the competition and will have the chance again this season to reach the top of the leaderboard. With only two clubs remaining unnamed, and less than a month before Matchday 1 commences, all eyes are on the teams as they get closer to announcing which PES players will be representing them this season.
To see them in action, stream Matchday 1 live on Saturday, December 12th!
