Relive the best moments from Matchday 5

Find out the best bits of a matchday that saw a massive loss of points by many teams, leaving them in compromising positions.

We have cleared five rounds of the eFootball™ Championship Pro 2023 so far and FC Barcelona keeps the lead at the top of the table with 32 points despite only scoring 4 points against AS Monaco on Matchday 5. The Catalans are only 1 point ahead of Arsenal FC, who took 6 points from FC Bayern after the Bavarians were penalized with a 0-3 loss in the third game for exceeding the maximum limitation of 2400 Collective Team Strength points, thus losing second place and falling to the fourth position. Tied on points, but in third place, were the Red Devils after two wins and a draw against a FC Inter side on the brink of elimination.  Finally, in the Italian derby, AC Milan took only two points to AS Roma's five, after also being penalized in the second game for the same reason as FC Bayern, putting the Rossoneri in a difficult seventh position at the end of the season.

(+4) FC BARCELONA  -  AS MONACO (+4)

FC Barcelona retained top spot in the league despite dropping five points against AS Monaco. Alex Alguacil and Kams10_ drew 1-1 in the first match, while Ettorito97 won narrowly against a strong Zilo and Usmakabyle did the same against The Palma, helping AS Monaco to be placed within the current top 6 clubs that will go through to the KO Stage.

(+7)  MANCHESTER UNITED  -  FC INTER  (+1)

Manchester United made a significant boost last matchday by taking 7 points against FC Inter and getting more points than the top three teams before matchday 5: FC Barcelona, FC Bayern and Arsenal FC. The Red Devils won two games, Nekza's 2-1 win over young ArdaGolaaazooo and Kilzyou's 7-1 thrashing of EL_Matador. The only draw came in the second match after Lotfi was pulled back by Neroazzurri captain MeroMen in the last minute. FC Inter rest deep down the table, with almost zero chances of qualification, while Manchester United jumped to 3rd place, but tied on points with fourth-placed FC Bayern.

(+3) FC BAYERN MÜNCHEN  -  ARSENAL FC (+6)

The most eagerly awaited match of the day produced three spectacular encounters. In the first, Ostrybuch stopped Turkey's Mucahit21, forcing him to suffer his first defeat of the season, something that also happened in the second match with Roksa22, who lost for the first time this year by 1-0 to an increasingly in-form FCB_Mestre. In the final game of the match, the Bavarians' captain put 4-0 past the winner of Goal of the Day for Matchday 4, INDOMINATOR, but KONAMI decided to sanction FC Bayern with a 3-0 defeat after FCB_Jose exceeded the Team Collective Strength limit of 2,400 points set in the tournament rules after returning from a time-out. FC Bayern thus tied the Red Devils on 25 points and felt to fourth place.

(+2)  AC MILAN  -  AS ROMA  (+5)

The last match of the day was an Italian derby with few goals and little point sharing. The Rossoneri took home only 2 points after two 1-1 draws and ACM Sasinho's victory sanctioned with a 0-3 loss for breaching the Team Collective Strength rule which prohibits exceeding 2400 points at any time during the match. AS Roma rescued 5 points that helped them to move out of the elimination zone only 1 point away from AC Milan, now in a dangerous 7th position with just two matchdays remaining.
