Two more Arsenal's Goals among the Top Five nominees for the Goal of the Day award on Matchday 3

Ostrybuch and Roksa22's goals are joined by those of AS Monaco's Usmakabyle, AC Milan's Kirito and FC Barcelona's The Palma in the shortlist of Goal of the Day nominees

KONAMI has selected the top 5 goals of the last matchday 3. The winner of such a coveted award along with its €5,000 prize will be announced during the regular league's fourth matchday event, which can be followed live from the eFootball’s YouTube and Facebook official accounts next Saturday, April 8th. Let’s take a look at the five nominees.

Ostrybuch

Arsenal FC - Manchester United: Match 1 Game 2

Ostrybuch finally got his first win of the season against his former team Manchester United. The Polish player also managed to score his first three goals to beat Lotfi by the narrowest of margins in the second game of the English derby which opened the third matchday of the Regular League. Trailing 1-0 in the 33rd minute, Ostrybuch was awarded a dangerous free-kick on the edge of the box, which he was about to take on Ødegaard. To everyone's surprise, including Frenchman Lotfi, Ostrybuch shot low and the ball slipped under the wall, unstoppable for David De Gea. A cheeky piece of genius from the Gunner youngster that would ultimately secure the second three points out of the nine that the London side took from the Red Devils.

Roksa22

Arsenal FC - Manchester United: Match 1 Game 3

The third game of the English derby between Arsenal FC and Manchester United pitted two of the most complete players on the international scene against each other. Serbia's Roksa22 beat the young French talent Nekza 2-1, his first goal being a real delight of good football that would be worthy of a Goal of the Day nomination. In the 37th minute, with all the play swarming into Manchester United's box, Roksa22 set up Smith Rowe, Thomas Partey and Ødegaard for a quick and precise passing move in a tight space. The latter, under close pressure from Casemiro, back-heeled the ball backwards for Trossard, who, after a dummy shot and cut back to the left, fired a fierce shot into David De Gea's corner with nothing he could do to stop it. It was a real Gunner display that set the Gunners on the road to a third win over the Red Devils.

Usmakabyle

AS Monaco - AC Milan: Match 2 Game 1

The Monegasque captain's first goal against ACM Sasinho in the first game of the match between AS Monaco and AC Milan is also in this list of nominees thanks to a great counter-attack executed with great efficiency. After a dangerous pass behind the Rossoneri defence, Ben Yedder sent a good cross from the left edge of the box to the right, where Volland, all alone, controlled it with the back of his boot and then finished with ease. This goal, scored in the ninth minute of the match, would be the first step in the comeback of the multi-champion Usmakabyle to give his team the first three points.

ACM Kirito

AS Monaco - AC Milan: Match 2 Game 2

The match with the most goals of the day produced some golazos, including ACM Kirito's 29th minute strike against AS Monaco's Kams10_. The Italian player gave us one of the best build-ups of the day. On the edge of the box Brahim Díaz played a pass into space for Rafael Leão, who fed the ball back for Díaz to deliver to Zlatan Ibrahimović, who unleashed a left-footed cannonball into the AS Monaco's net. A great goal that would not be enough for ACM Kirito to win the second game between the Monegasques and the Italians, which ended 4-3 in favor of the Frenchman Kams10_.

The Palma

FC Inter - FC Barcelona: Match 4 Game 3

The fifth goal to join the shortlist of fortunate contenders for Goal of the Day was the goal that clinched a 2-2 draw between FC Barcelona's The Palma and FC Inter's ArdaGolaaazooo. The Spanish player had been in a goal drought for two matches and it was on matchday three when he was able to open the scoring with two goals that would force his third consecutive draw this season, but also a valuable point for FC Barcelona to close the day as leaders of the table. In the 90th minute and with the clock ticking down, The Palma launched a counter-attack led by Pedri. The ball found its way to Dembélé on the left side of the Nerazurri box, who, after cutting inside and leaving the opposing defender off balance, curled a quality shot inside Handanović's long post and the ball went in gently to the delight of the blaugrana side.
