The Groups and Fixtures for the 2022 Season

Group A, arguably the group of death, consists of Celtic FC, AS Monaco, FC Bayern München and Manchester United FC, while Group B is completed by Galatasaray SK, AS Roma, FC Barcelona and Arsenal FC.

The Group Stage Draw of the eFootball™ Championship Pro 2022 was held today in an event streamed live on YouTube and Facebook. The ceremony was hosted in person by Mark Scott, who was joined online by Harry Channon as caster and Stuart Westley "Wezza" as pundit. Jordi Orteu, Executive Director of Esports Media Rights company, was the special guest of the event, carrying out the drawing of the balls for each team.

Tension and nervousness were palpable in the atmosphere, with the participating clubs and their respective esports players expectant of what fortune would bring them in this tournament. This season the configuration of the groups is decisive and getting off to a good start in the first match is essential to ensure the first 9 points at stake (3 for each game within each match), maximum when all matches will be a direct confrontation between the players following a 1vs1 format.

But fate did not take long to make it clear which groups and matchups would take place in the Group Stage of the tournament over the next two weekends and the groups obtained from the draw were as follows:

As the groups were drawn up, the calendar was also set up. The first matchday of Group A will be held next Saturday, June 11th, and the second matchday on Sunday, June 19th. Group B will be played on Sunday, June 12th, and the second matchday will take place on Saturday, June 18th.

In the same way, within each matchday, the order of the matches was already established by the order in which the balls were drawn, with the resulting schedule being as follows:

The field is ready and the die is cast to find out which teams will advance to the Knockout Stage and to see who will finally win the eFootball™ Championship Pro trophy. Next Saturday, the first results of Group A will be known from the live streaming of eFootball™’s official YouTube channel starting at 13:00 CEST.

For those who could not follow the live draw, you now have the opportunity to watch it on the official eFootball™ YouTube account.
