ALEX GRD: “Amazing result, to take six points from the best club in this league”

FC Barcelona expresses excitement over advancing to first place position, as AS Monaco looks to improve after taking zero points to the league table in Matchday 3

Harry Channon, eFootball.Pro IQONIQ commentator, interviewed representatives from FC Barcelona and AS Monaco following their exciting and unexpected competition on January 30th, where Barcelona ultimately earned all six points at its conclusion.

First, he spoke with ALEX GRD of FC Barcelona, congratulating him on the six points against the reigning back-to-back champions, AS Monaco. ALEX GRD expressed his happiness over achieving the impressive feat alongside his teammates: “Amazing result, to take six points from the best club in this league. We played very great games… I don’t have words. We are very happy with this performance today.”

Lotfi: “It’s not the first time we’ve made a bad result. But when we do make a bad result, we have to work..."

After finally gaining their position as the first ranking team on the league table, Channon asked about their feelings for the next match where they will face Manchester United FC. ALEX GRD acknowledged: “Manchester is a great team with great players. Kams10_ is one of the best players in the world, so it will be very difficult.” However, with their most recent wins in mind, he confidently added: “We know now that we can have six points against each team, so like I said two weeks ago, we will play for the six points of course.”

Next, Harry interviewed AS Monaco’s Lotfi, noting that it was the first time in the competition that he had spoken to the team without picking up at least one point following a match. Lotfi explained: “It was impossible for us to play. It was so difficult, our path was slow... it all was difficult. I don’t know what to say.” Finding the silver lining, he also stated: “It’s not the first time we’ve made a bad result. But when we do make a bad result, we have to work and it’s not a problem because we accept it. On this game, congrats to Barça because they did their job.”

As they prepare for Matchday 4, the Monegasque squad is already looking to gain more points, as they have in all other previous matchdays. Lotfi commented on Monaco’s upcoming fixture with FC Schalke 04: “It’s so difficult to know before what will arrive. Schalke has a great result for the moment, so we’ll have to do our maximum to take the maximum points.”
