What is eFootball.Pro?

    eFootball.Pro is an esports competition exclusively for football clubs. 

    The 2020-2021 season has 10 contestant clubs: FC Barcelona, Manchester United FC, FC Bayern München, Juventus, Arsenal FC, AS Roma, Celtic FC, FC Schalke 04, Galatasaray SK, and AS Monaco. 

    AS Monaco was the champion of the first eFootball.Pro season (2018-2019), that had 6 teams competing: FC Barcelona, FC Schalke 04, AS Monaco, Celtic FC, Boavista FC and FC Nantes. They also were also ranked in first place at the conclusion of the 2019-2020 season. FC Bayern München won the eFootball.Pro Cup following the conclusion of last season.

    eFootball.Pro is played with the video game eFootball PES 2021 Season Update, by KONAMI.

    What is the format of eFootball.Pro?

    eFootball.Pro is taking place from December 2020 to June 2021, and is divided into two parts: the Regular League, and the Knockout Stage.

    The Regular Season goes from December to May and has 9 matchdays. The matches are played on Saturdays. After the 9 matchdays, the best 6 teams advance to the Knockout Stage.

    Regular Season matches consist of two 10-minute games, each one awarding 3 points to the winner or 1 point to both teams in case of a draw. 

    The Knockout Stage takes place in June. Both quarterfinals and semifinals consist of two games following the home and away format, and the final is a single game that decides the eFootball.Pro champion of the season. The best 2 clubs of the Regular League qualify directly for the Knockout Stage semifinals, while the teams ranked 3rd to 6th play in the quarterfinals.
